The literacy rate has gone up in Nepal and many people have began to talk about the issues that was never addressed before. People have realized simple things like we should not throw rubbish everywhere, greenery is needed, children should go to school, family planning is good for the family & nation, etc, but one thing they miss is to put their mobiles in the silent mode or in vibration when attending seminars, meeting, etc. Today, mainly in urban areas, almost everyone has a mobile in a family and I think that is a good sign of civilization. Through mobile, people now have access to communication even at the places where there are no wires. Its due to the mobile that people are always in touch with their family and business. Today with the increase in use of mobiles, a quest of glory has began. The quest is about the coolest ring tone one has in a mobile, that’s why they look for mobiles with high volumes and multimedia features. The ring tones gets unnoticed when people are at the public places, so to win the quest they take meeting and seminars as a playground. So, whenever there is a meeting and seminars in Nepal, the quest of “who has the coolest ring tone?” gets in action. Next time when your are in meeting think twice whether you want join the quest or not. For me, I just want to remain away from such quest.
