The main aim of this championship is the promotion of adventure tourism in and around the Pokhara. Similarly we Pokharali tourism entrepreneurs would like to introduce Pokhara as a city of events.
Pokharacity.com :Is there any reason that the championship has been organizing annually for the 9th time?
Since TAAN is an umbrella organization of various trekking agencies in Nepal, we always like to develop and explore the activities like trekking, expedition, mountaineering and paragliding as well. Paragliding is not only a way of adventure but also a means of promotion of sports tourism in Nepal. So the event has been organizing for years.
Pokharacity.com :How is the response of international Para-gliders over the past championships that TAAN organized in Pokhara?
The procedures to Para-gliders in Nepal are very simple and easy so they always like to enjoy the sky of Nepal. So the charming of paragliding in Nepal is definitely rising day by day. The charm would be boosted if we could come up with an international championship here in Pokhara.

It is very difficult to collect all the funds for this event in Pokhara. We request local people, businessmen, tourism entrepreneurs for the fund but it make us feel bad always. The hard truth is that the respective government bodies who have enough found hardly support us. They as well as big businessmen always turned reckless over such promotional activities however we make found from our friends and respective trekking agencies.
Pokharacity.com :How does such championship help to promote the tourism of Pokhara and its surroundings?
Tourism itself is always a very effective way of making money whatever the place is. Talking about paragliding, the paragliding pilots have a nature that they have long length of stay. They seem ready to pay better price. They also like to trek the places as the weather goes bad; the result that makes entrepreneurs benefits.
Pokharacity.com :Could you tell something about the pre-world cup of paragliding that TAAN is planning in Pokhara?
You are right that we are planning such event in Pokhara in the coming future. So we are very much committed to fulfill that dream but I again like to reiterate here that the responsible government bodies should directly help us to make that future plan a grand success. It would be hard to organize that event if we would not be supported.
Pokharacity.com :Are there any special parts that were not included in the past championships?
Definitely there are some special things this time. There would be higher number of participants from various countries. We are hard working to make this event attractive this time but unfortunately we are limited in a certain boundary since we haven't enough founds as we need.

I request all the Nepali to take this championship as a festival. If we could make this country paragliding-full, it would help to promote the tourism of Nepal. So I kindly request all to come and observe this festival in Khahare of Lakeside.
I am not pokhreli but i love pokhara as much as my home town kathmandu. i spent my golden days in pokhara when i was in NTHMC. I really would like to do something in pokhara but i don't know how long it takes. I really apreciated this job which you people have done and this is the most inteligent plan to develop pokhara.MICE tourism is the best now a days which you are going to empliment. So all the best.
