What should public know by the Name Ichhaman?
As I own automobile business house. I deal with two wheeler bajaj motorbikes and I would like to be known as a struggling businessman.

What social work have you done besides your business?
Eighteen years ahead I was a president of the LEO Club. We raised aids awareness program and we had very positive feedbacks. Besides this I did lots of blood donation and some other small social service activities too. Including this, I am at present a founder member of the Lakecity, Pokhara.

Talking about the blood donation, we have heard that you are the only person in Pokhara who has donated blood many times. How many times have you donated blood and what makes you feel to be a donor?
Yes I am the man who has the highest frequency of blood donation here in Pokhara. I have donated blood more then 50 times. I have even donated to the hospitals when the blood was scarce and I shall still donate when ever I feel like donating. In doing this, I feel happy and an immense feeling comes to me, that I have served my homeland in my ways.

Talking about your business again, please tell us more about your business.
At present, I have been selling 35% of Pulsar motorbikes that comes in Nepal. It’s a two wheeler sporty type motorbike that is a product of India. Right now I have 150 cc, 180 cc and 200 cc of Pulsar motorbike. I am expecting 220 cc pulsar to arrive within 3 months and its expected price is around 2 Lakhs (Nepalese Rupees). Including this I have other series of bajaj motor bikes too.

Your bajaj workshop is recognized as the most modern workshop in Nepal. Please tell us about it.
Yes, my workshop is the most modern workshop in the whole territory of our country. We have well equipped mechanicals, engineers and technicians. Including this we have a computer database system to inspect our clients’ motorbike. We have hydraulic machines to lift the motorbike and computer based inspecting machines. The result of this facility is very satisfactory and the demand is increasing as everyone likes their bike to be inspected carefully and professionally.

What about your young age? Please tell us some unforgettable moments.
I was a guy who loved good sense of humor and adventure. I loved motorbike riding. Once I broke my leg while I had an accident in my XL Honda motorbike. I liked Honda’s XL motorbike and Honda’s cm 200 cc motorbike. I was a easy going and a decent guy when I was around 22 years of age.

By the way, how old are you?
I am 44 but still I love the funny and charming side of life.

How do you categorize Fashion here in Pokhara?
Fashion is alright. I was a fashionable guy in my young age and I do like fashion. I once saw a young lady in Kiran Gurung’s Souls Flame Concert (Fewa Prince Hotel). Later I came to know that her name was Alena Gurung. I liked her fashion and styles. I guess, if fashion is done right it does add charisma to the personality. Alena was of course a magnetizing lady.

What changes have you found in Pokhara 30 years ahead and now?
Well, some decades ahead we knew each and every people of Pokhara and we were very friendly but now we see lots of strangers and almost each day we come to introduce our self with a new guy/lady. Including this, foods and every other stuffs were cheap in the early times but these days, Pokhara is a very expensive place to live in.

We have heard that you were a romantic guy too, is it true?
Ha..ha.. of course, I was a romantic guy. I used to follow attractive ladies. I liked break dance; I was a big FAN of Michael Jackson. I also liked NIKE T-shirts, Nike Shoes and Levis Pants. I liked grunge looks and I liked attractive ladies.

Are you in any way involved into political issues?
I was involved when I was young but these days I am very busy with my business and I am not into political issues.

What do you think about the Petrol shortage issues here in Nepal?
In my point of view, we should welcome the increment of the petroleum products. It’s better to stay undisturbed then to engage ourselves with crisis and disturbance. I guess Privatization is needed in petroleum products.

Do you have anything to tell about Pokharacity.com?
www.pokharacity.com is doing great, I and my kids like it very much. It’s a true promotion of Pokhara and its resources. If you guys work harder, I know you shall rock your boat in the coming future.

Hi Ichha dai,
I know you deserve this. I am your brother next door. When I was a kid, I used to find you leave your house early in the morning and come late in the evening. Your hard working nature is really an inspiration.
It was crazy then, I used to address you with name 'Jackie Shroff'. You were kind of look alike.
Your social work and the industrious nature is what our young generation should follow.

Very good presentation of information and entertainment in a single piece. Yes, media should be participatory where we could read and know all kinds of personalities but not only political leaders. Thank u pokharacity for this interview.
