Preeti Kaur, who always made a buzz through her seductive looks, turned the concert into a disco theque on 17 Nov 2007. As soon as amps were powered through her voice, crowd of 25000 people were addicted, as we could see everyone was flowing with her voice and move.  People who had never sung outside the walls of bathroom couldn't help out as they too were found pilling there voice on the chorus of crowd to give a flow with our sexy and talented diva "Preeti Kaur".  I was impressed with this lady who had the fusion of talent and beauty, so I thought to make a little chitchat with her. Here is a pie of how our chitchat went.

Pokharacity : Since how long you have been engaged in this musical field?

Preeti - I initiated learning music from 2055 B.S. and adopted it professionally only from 2003 A.D. Actually I started it after I won the Sikhar Music Beat Contest.

Pokharacity : How many album of yours has hit the market?

 Preeti -Till now only one album of mine named “Priti” has been released in the market.
Pokharacity : Are you planning to release new album of yours?

Preeti -Well, I am preparing to bring my next album in the market but it will take time. Most probably my new album will not have solely my voice but rather will be in common version.
Pokharacity : Which is your favorite song?

Preeti - My favorite song is from my own album which is “Dherai Patak Jeevanma”. Beside my album I love the voice and all songs sang by Aani Chyoing and Manila Sotang.

Pokharacity : What is the backend that inspired you in this field?

Preeti - I was inspired in this field mostly from western singers and also I simply love singing songs.

Pokharacity : What have you gained and lost after getting involved in this musical field?

Preeti - Firstly after being involved in this field, I have earned fame and love from the audience. I don’t think that I have lost any till now as a singer.

Pokharacity : Have you faced any challenges as a female singer?

Preeti - No, I have not faced any such challenges as a female singer till present. But I think few challenges are usual in a normal life and it makes no difference to my profession.

Pokharacity : You have performed in front of Pokhreli audience in the live concert specific of Prashant Tamang. Now many people know you better so how does it feel?

Preeti - It is wonderful and Pokhreli people knew me before the concert. I have come to Pokhara many times and this time I will carry some of the happiest experiences in this trip to Pokhara.

Pokharacity : What is your future plan?

Preeti - I have lots of future plan but I think its charm is only in future. If it is disclosed at present then it will be boring.

Pokharacity : What is life in your opinion?

Preeti - Life is a passion, gift of supernatural power. Life is accordingly to our attitude and perception. If you are happy, you enjoy life and if you always cry, it is full of sorrow and sadness.

Pokharacity : When are you planning to marry?

Preeti - I don't know actually when I will marry.  Marriage is also an important part of life. So I will marry when appropriate time would come for my marriage.

Pokharacity : What do you think about sex ?

Preeti - No comments!!!!

Pokharacity : Was it your aim of life to be a pop singer ?

Preeti -  No, I had no such aim to be a pop singer in the beginning till I studied music. I continued learning music and my appeal to music started to grow, thus I became a pop singer.

Pokharacity : Do you think your ambition is fulfilled while looking at present situation?

Preeti - If the aim of life is fulfilled now then everything will be finished. Isn't it ?  Preeti Kaur will vanish then. ha...ha.. Even then I have achieved few things in my life. To some extent the objectives of my life are fulfilled but I have not got full satisfaction. 

Pokharacity : Westernization has influenced every aspect of life and even in Nepali folk songs. You are a pop singer and it is usually found that there is dominating influence of western culture in pop songs. What is your view on this matter?

Preeti -There should be change in life and no one likes the same thing being repeated every time. It is the need of youth nowadays when no one can remain untouched by Globalization. If you study in depth, you will find that everything exist there. Every thing has its own importance in its own place. When Nepali folk songs are mixed with modern music, it will give new taste, add quality and revive the old songs rather than languishing it.
