Annapurna Food Festival

When the news of food festival buzzed in my ear, I made up my mind not to miss the festival. So, I with my crew of pokharacity.com thought to join the festival on the very first day. After finishing the office work we went to Nayabazar on our bikes. This was the place where the food festival was organized. We choose the best place to park our bikes as the whole parking area was waiting for people like us. We had a pass for the festival so we didn’t have to reach our back pocket to pay for the ticket price which had the face value of Rs 50. With each ticket, one could get a 600 ml Pepsi free. This was the only logical reason the ticket was priced right.
By analyzing the parking area, we had thought of a haunted festival but to our surprise we saw a moderate level of crowd in the festival. The stall was well arranged and everything looked systematic. Apart from the food stall, a concert too was going on but the singers and performers had to do the dual job; singing and being audience. Anyway, this was not a big thing as it was the first day of the event.
We then thought to try out the foods. We tried the Thai foods but didn’t found anything new apart from a semi cooked pig’s meat. Then we went to the UAE stall and tasted their food. The food was amazing; it tasted great and looked very hygienic. The bread specially had no spices on it and still it was so tasty.  One thing that we found common on both stall was the price of the food. The price of the food was quoted like of a menu in five star hotels.
Then we went to the children section. There was only one stall but had lots of stuffs to attract the children. The crown and the air bag was the attraction for the children. Arun bought the bubble blowing tube with bubble juice to give it as a gift to his uncle’s children. Sudeep Dai thought to try them out but once he had tried we couldn’t resist and took all the tube Arun had bought and started making the soap bubbles. The soap bubble turned the whole environment into a dreamland from lots of teens as they too were following our steps. Soon we were able create a community of soap bubble and we all began to fight for trophy that never was there “the quest to make the biggest bubble”. As there was no judge, we finally thought to award Sudeep dai the first price which was the priceless word “You Won”.  The stall keeper thanked us for testing his product and also promoting it to the visitors. We were really touched with that compliment.
Then we thought to try our hands on Bingo. We bought the ticket and waited for our numbers. There were prizes for 1st full corner and 1st full house and the prize was a Konka Mobile. We were really impressed by the way the person hosted the game. He had a story for each number. His stories made the time pass like a blink and since I had no hope of winning any prizes we thought to make our journey back to the office.
I had some work in my home, so I wasn’t able to attend the festival next day but one my friend “Sooraz Shrestha” had gone there with his family. According to him the festival was livelier that day than yesterday. As it was a Saturday a lot of parents visited the festival with their children.

Yes, this kind of event should be regularly organized but the price of the food should be lowered
