Interview
Would you like to share about any unforgettable moment and your experience of working in your first film?
During my first film, I along with all our troops had gone for a shoot of a scene in the location Shanti Stupa to be accomplished in just a single day but due to some technical problems we had to stay there for about 1 week which is the unforgettable moment in my career.
Which actor/actress are you mostly inspired by in the film industry and why?

Talking about getting inspired, I am not much prejudiced by others but I really appreciate the work and acting of Mithila Sharma.

How do you define art?
Art is the enactment of preserving and promoting our culture and traditions.
Did you go through any hurdles to enter in this film sector?
In fact, I didn’t have to go through any hurdles. I had gone through an interview and got selected for my first film. Then later I was offered the lead roles in the films.
Which Indigenous films of yours are you mostly satisfied with?
I am mostly satisfied with my film “Barahi Putra” which was able to grab the tag of “Audience Choice” in the Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival.
What do you think is still deficient in the Indigenous Film and what should be done to improve its condition?
The main problem in Nepal is that the Indigenous Film aren’t able to get proper market. Like wise, there aren’t released in halls so if they are able to meet the viewer’s expectation . If these films are appreciated and allowed to release in halls then surely the Indigenous film will flourish.
Would you like to name some of your friends who are close to your heart?
I have lots of friends who are close to my heart namely Rangita, Sita Tamang, Sita Pun, Jaya Adhikari, Chandra Hamal and Bijaya Adhikari.
Some habit of yours' that viewers might be happy to know about you.
I have a bad habit of saying ‘ris uthcha’ and ‘jhamma dinchu ani’ after each and every word while interacting with others. This habit of mine might be unknown to my viewers and I am trying hard to control it.

What are your future plans?
I have decided to continue working in this field as well as promote the culture and tradition of our country.
Which is the favorite place in Nepal that you like to go over and over again?
One of my favorite places is Ghorepani Poonhill, Myagdi which is like a heaven to me.
What attracts you more in a man?
I am mostly attracted by the good qualities and behavior in a man.
How do you define life as?
Life is full of uncertainty with lots and ups and downs. I take life as an opportunity and am determined to accomplish my goals.
Do you believe that love means amalgamate of two souls?
Every one has different meaning love. To me love means a pure thought to lead a successful life.
Is there any ritual or custom in Magar Caste which aren’t followed by any other caste?
Every caste has their own rituals, language and customs. As I belong from a Magar family, I would like to talk about our language and custom. As different caste has their own language, we magars also have our own custom but don’t have our distinct language. We take nepali as our language but our tone differs from others and some even find difficult to understand us. So I find our language to be different from others.

she meant to say that PUN magars dont have thier distinct language ......I dont think she is so naive not to know about the existence of Magar language ....

I suspect misintrepretation by the interviewer ..!!

I am really shocked reading that MAgar doesn't have own laguage.Eventhough me myself don't know how to speak MAgar Lanaguage(which is shame for me being magar) but at least i know that there is.So,must think before saying and also publishing ...whoever it is..

wink
I ain't much interested in reading such interviews but just read it for the heck of killing my time.
I was deeply upheavaled to realize the ignorance of the protagonist that Magar people do definitely have their own identical language. It could be a different story that Magar like her may have stopped speaking it (no fault of hers though).
Please, be careful before you say that Magars don't have their identical language. It reveals nothing but your ignorance about your ethnicity.

God Speed
C. B. Thapa
(A proud Magar who knows Magar peopl have their own Magar language)

P.S. I can assist the protagonist in case if she would like to learn about Magar language. (its simple, just put Magar bhasa in google)
