 The Shadows came into existence in 1996. Then Basanta Shrestha was vocalist, Babu BK on rhythm, Amrit Pradhan on Bass, Prakash Rasaili on lead, Bikash Manandhar on drum and Rupesh Sen was the band manager. The young and the energetic boys had every reason to succeed in the ocean of music.

NRN Day was celebrated in Pokhara on 11th october with the theme "NRN Nepali in Local Development and Tourism Promotion". The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) had agreed to observe October 11 as NRN Day in Pokhara to make Tourism Year 2011 a success.
