The villagers knew what we wanted so they made a temporary shed out of a tent to make a dance floor for us. The shed protected us from the rainfall and the music and atmosphere kept us going. Ram Gurung amazed everyone with his dancing moves as he added comic act to his dance and the whole village burst into laughter.

Don’t blink your eyes, it kills me. Jhim jhim sanu najhimkau pareli bhuttukai hunchhu ma, this song, with the mesmerizing voices of mothers, hypnotized us. Mr Yadu stood voluntarily to dance and we clapped giving an extra music to Madal and Harmonica.

It was raining so heavily making the visibility very poor. We could hardly see objects in five meters range. It was just like man vs. wild where we had to overcome the slippery red mud road, poor visibility, the heavy rainfall and inclined slopes where we had to drag our bikes rather than ride it. Overcoming all that we reached Sikles at 8 PM via passing through the villages like Tapring, Khilang & Paicho.

Trekking along the Himalayan ridges has always been my favorite. I love being in the nature away from the busy streets and concrete buildings along the green paddy fields, white rivers. It was a longtime since I had been in the wild. Thanks to my job at the Tourism Board, after a longtime I had this opportunity to go for a trek again.
