The jungles of Pokhara have been facing continuous deforestation for these couple of years due to the hike and shortage of the fuel. People of Pokhara have begun to use firewood as an alternative to kerosene, electricity and gas for different purposes.

BREAKING REPORT: A security personnel displays a section of 70 adult human skulls and 18 limb bones seized from a restaurant at the India-Nepal border, at Khoribari police station, about 45 km (28 miles) west from the northeastern Indian city of Siliguri August 21, 2008. Two people were arrested, police officials said. The police are still investigating the case.

One mother along with five children killed in Nagpanchami (Snake Festival) in Bagar, Pokhara. Nagapanchami (Snake Festival) is celebrated by hindus living all over the whole. In this day, the picture of snakes are placed above the main entrance of each hindu family house with a believe that snakes will protect their homes.

According to the officials of the school, the school now has 10 students but according to the villagers there are not more than 6 students.  We were really shocked by this news and went to Bhalam to get the story.

A recent controversy hit the fire when Indian news, an Indian Hindi news channel showed Nepal and Bhutan inside the Indian border in the logo of their program “Yeh Mera India” , which telecast at 6.30 pm Indian time.  In response to that, Sagarmatha, a Nepali news channel broadcasted a program objecting such act.
