Miss Rasmita Nakarmi, contestant number 1 was crown the title award of “Miss Newa Pokhara 1132” that was organized today (7th jan, 012) in City Hall, Pokhara. Apart from the title award, she won the public viewer’s award too. As a prize, she received cash prize of Rs 30,000, a Television set and gift hampers.
Miss Newa, Pokhara is a beauty peagent organized by Newa Khala, Kaski, Pokhara and is being held in Pokhara. Here we managed to catch Mr. Niranjan Shrestha, chief coordinator of Miss Newa, Pokhara and share some gossip about the event, that’s finale will be on Poush 23rd.
With holidays season on its peak, lots of resturants, bars, pubs, discotheques in Lakeside, Pokhara has been gearing up for giving utmost facilites to their customers. One of the main event in lakeside will be the street festival which happens every year from usually the last week of December.

"Festival of lights" or better known as tihar/diwali is one of the important festival of hindus all over the world. It falls on the new moon night between mid-October and mid-November and is celebrated for five days.
She was in grade eight when her first song ‘Ghaam Joon Aakaash ko’ was recorded, but the song ‘Samjhana chh chhodi Jane Lai’ made her popular among the people. It was around this time Newa Khalu Kaski organized Miss Newa-2011.
Over the last two decades or so, regular silt and garbage depositing at the bottom of the lake has reduced its depth considerably. On top, hyacinths have only added more woes to Fewa Lake, making things only bad to worse. These obnoxious weeds do spread rapidly and cover a larger area in no time. All this make impossible to catch a glimpse of Machhapuchhre in the waters in Fewa Lake.
